About Us

Who We Are

Project Phoenix is a Family Residential Assessment Centre consisting of experienced professionals who have come together to provide a residential service for families and their children.

We are a team who specialise in family assessments for parents who require additional support in developing skills in caring for their families.

Project Phoenix

Project Phoenix is a three-bed residential assessment centre located a short distance from the heart of Huddersfield Town Centre (HD1 area). The location of the centre is ideally positioned within close proximity to public transport links and within walking distance to a number of NHS medical health centres, pharmacies and dental practices. Located close to the centre is one of Huddersfield’s largest parks, Greenhead Park. This is located behind the centre making it the ideal location for families.

Our Aim

Our main objective is to support families who are experiencing difficulties that are impacting their ability to be the best parent possible. We do this in an atmosphere which conveys normal home life, encouraging bonding between parents and children, whilst enabling the family to grow and develop. Our goal is for each family to leave the unit after an agreed period, equipped with the parenting and life skills to live happy, healthy and independently. Above all, the child's safety and welfare is paramount in everything we do.

What We Do

During a period of 12 weeks, parents will undergo a PAMS/Parenting Assessment and will be offered guidance through recommended teaching programs, therapy sessions (if required) and a range of other programmes aimed to improve parents’ lives and parenting skills.

The daily operations of the assessment centre will be in line with the National Minimum Standards and Regulations for Residential Family Centres.

We work in partnership with Local Authorities, the Safeguarding Children Board, foster agencies, local services and families to promote the welfare of children and prevent family separation.

Our Values

Transparency

We believe in obtaining transparency with our team, the residents, and authoritative bodies. This is achieved by clear and consistent contact and communication, consisting of regular meetings and check ins in which goals, plans, intentions, and ideas can be explored and updated.

Respect

We believe in upholding a standard of respecting all throughout our practice. Staff, residents, and authoritative bodies are deserving of being treated respectfully, fairly, and thoughtfully.

United

At Project Phoenix we believe in working cooperatively for individual success. We work alongside families, the local authorities, the safeguarding children board, foster agencies, social workers, local services, and courts across the UK to best support families experiencing difficulties effecting their parenting abilities. Together, we can support families the best way we can.

Safeguard

Safeguarding is the uppermost important value in our practice, ensuring that vulnerable individuals are safeguarded and protected. This includes our staff as well as our residents. It is principal that all members of staff uphold safeguarding practices. We work with the Safeguarding Children Board to ensure that we maintain this standard.

Thrive

We want everyone to thrive at Project Phoenix and beyond. We encourage this by promoting the growth, development and success of the residents and staff at Project Phoenix. We aim to empower and motivate the residents to reach their goals and the staff to develop with their careers. We as a business aim to continuously thrive within our practice, bettering our service and expanding what we do.
